Three Good Reads

We decided to begin bringing you this occasionally recurring feature in part because it no longer exists on the online version of the Washington Post Style section. We used to depend on it to nominate a trio of stylish and substantial stories from the paper's recent work, but after a redesign some months ago, it now exists only as a ghostly web description that the editors have forgotten to omit. And so into the breach we go. This delightful deconstruction of the combative essayist and author Christopher Hitchens (a new American citizen, by the way) is worth your while. As is this profile of Michelle Obama from the New Yorker. Finally, from The Atlantic, this meditation on why women should settle for Mr. Good Enough gets our nod as best magazine piece of the year, thus far. I hope you like all of them. Please let us know what you think.
